BETA - REDWOOD Version 0.50 Beta-0 was uploaded to: http://www.os2bbs.com on November 19, 1996 as REDWOOD.ZIP REDWOOD is a CASE tool for building utilities for S/390 applications. The 0.50 Beta includes an EBCDIC hex display engine, a finder for packed decimal, binary, and character data. The code generator includes support for PL/I, C/C++, S/390 Assembler, and a "documentation" format. There are exits for JES control cards, JCL, and several customization points. It generates standalone DSECTS, structs, and structures. The PL/I support is more complete than C/C++ or S/390 Assembler. Cobol, SQL, and other languages are planned. REDWOOD can find and expand packed decimal yydddS and zoned decimal mm/dd/yy dates. It generates the source for utility programs that expand or contract files and shift dates up and down a specified number of years. The REDWOOD Beta is bound with three brief documentation files in IBM Works format. The REDWOOD GA will be a low cost application. HHResearch Co. is the designer and engineering lab for REDWOOD. Neither HHResearch Co. nor Kiyo Design, Inc. will be accepting phone calls on REDWOOD. email to: hamasaki@capaccess.org November 19, 1996 Cory Hamasaki Kiyo Design, Inc http://www.kiyoinc.com HHResearch Co. 11 Annapolis St. OS/2 Webstore & Newsletter REDWOOD Annapolis, Md, 21401 (410) 280-1942
